A Day in the Life: What Disability Home Care Services Melbourne Looks Like
What does in-home support feel like daily? Customised care plans include:
Morning:
The care worker offers assistance with basic tasks like dressing, preparing a nutritious breakfast or bathing. In addition to that, medication reminders are given.
Midday:
Support with physiotherapy exercises or a short community outing. Additionally, a local library visit or grocery run is also included.
Afternoon:
Meal prep, light cleaning, and a check-in on progress with health or personal goals. Thus, it is a perfect time for a hobby or activity.
Evening:
Help with dinner, showering, and preparing for bed. But some clients may also receive overnight monitoring or sleepover shifts.
Every care plan is built around the person’s lifestyle—not just a standard routine.
